Top Level Leadership

TOP LEVEL LEADERSHIP

Here are just a few of the many companies that have found WCEDA's leadership courses valuable over the years. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see additional supporters.

WCEDA and its partner, Elizabeth Oplatka of Gateway Technical College’s Business and Workforce Solutions, are bringing together senior and executive-level managers, and those just realizing their potential, who are dedicated to creating not only the most technically proficient organizations but the healthiest, most nimble teams and dynamic organizational cultures.

This advanced leadership series isn’t a one-off course. We’re presenting an opportunity to join others and work with an expert in organizational psychology, organizational development and change leadership on building the human side of your business. We know that our local business community is the most technically capable out there. We also know that what prevents us from realizing our greatness has a human face.

A longitudinal study of more than 44,000 managers conducted in association with the U.S. Department of Labor shows that these human -- not technical-- capabilities pose the greatest existential threat to U.S. businesses.

DiSC Behavioral Assessment

DiSC has emerged as the most reliable and valid of such assessments.

The DiSC Model is a simple tool that's been helping people to connect better over thirty years. This report uses your individual assessment data to provide a wealth of information about your workplace priorities and preferences. DiSC helps you determine your default behavioral "style" -- the ways in which you "act" when you are either at your most comfortable or your most stressed. It is not a personality assessment or some deep, dark probe into your psyche. Instead, the results are designed to help you and your colleagues understand how you work best and how you approach day-to-day interactions.

As part of DiSC assessment, your enrollment includes two hours of coaching with Liz Oplatka, a board-certified leadership coach and certified DiSC facilitator with experience conducting more than 500 such assessments.
