Whitewater Innovation Center

The Whitewater Innovation Center’s mission is to provide space, facilities, expertise, and services to entrepreneurs starting businesses in close alignment with UW-Whitewater. The Innovation Center serves as a central learning location for both the Technology Park and the adjacent business park. The Innovation Center is designed with flexible modules that can be adapted to a number of future uses. The 38,000 square foot two-story building serves commercial and incubator tenants offering  wet lab space and a a flexible configuration for its users. With a goal of setting the standard for responsible and sustainable design for future developments with the park, the Innovation Center achieved LEED Gold Certification. The center is owned by the Community Development Authority of Whitewater, and managed by the Whitewater-University Technology Park Board, a 501(c)(3)corporation. The building is located in the new 135 acre Whitewater-University Technology Park on the northeast side of Whitewater. Participants in the Innovation Center Business Incubation Program receive access to one-on-one consulting and/or web-based training as well as free services and resources in business organization and planning; marketing, promotion, & sales; commercialization and product development; and business operations.
