Do you know someone who doesn't have their HS Diploma or equivalent?

Over the week, 75 school superintendents from Oklahoma traveled to Wisconsin to learn about our Career and Technical Education programs at the technical college and K-12 levels. They toured Elkhorn High School as well as five other schools outside Walworth County. They listened to panels of current YA's, employers, economic development associations, tech colleges, and other tertiary roles in the CTE field. It was great being able to share our Walworth County YA success stories!

JUNE 2022

If you haven't heard, there is a new school in town!

Delavan Darien Tech School (DD Tech)

Students enrolled in DD Tech School are offered a variety of opportunities to explore and experience potential career pathways through their educational journey.

Choices ~ life is full of them. The Delavan-Darien School District is adding one more choice for high school students as they consider their life choice: what to do after high school? We have created a charter school, DD Tech, that focuses on career pathways, employability skills, on-the-job training, stackable credentials, and the potential to earn a technical diploma and/or an associates degree before high school graduation. DD Tech students are able to gain workplace knowledge and skills through our industry standard classroom/lab settings, networking with professionals, and “test driving” potential careers through career and work-based learning programs. Our goal is to guide students down the right path to prepare them for a career after high school and give them opportunities to earn certifications, technical diplomas and associate degrees. These credentials, along with partnerships with local businesses/industry, equip students with the opportunity to rise above others when securing a job.

"DD Tech is changing the way we think about education and is here to prepare students for their dream job. We look forward to celebrating the many paths to success as we prepare the next generation of workforce leaders!" - Mike Rick, DD Tech Administrator / DDSD Career and Technical Education Coordinator
